Although not the recommended treatment approach for many pest infestations, fogging applications do make sense in certain situations for certain pest populations. Indoors, fogging might be ideal for rapid knockdown of certain flying insects, fleas, or large quantities of other insects on exposed surfaces. Outdoors, fogging applications may be practical for elimination of adult mosquito populations and other insects.Â
Be advised that insects such as roaches, bed bugs, ants, and others who seek harborage in tight spaces and wall cavities will be minimally impacted by most fogging applications, as they will seek refuge outside of the treatment zone. In most situations, fogging applications should be made in combination with other treatment measures.Â
